Clearing turns normally consist of at least a 180 change of direction, so you usually perform two 90 turns. Arial This gives you a good view of the area around your flight path, and helps you see and avoid any aircraft that may be in the vicinity. Arial One thing you need to consider anytime you're in the practice area is collision avoidance. When you're practicing a maneuver, it's easy to get distracted and forget that there might be other aircraft out there.
